Print of this iconic race! I've completed the event twice- over 4 hours in 2004... but a 3.11 PB after a Championship start in 2014. It's a milestone and highlight of the year, and after seeing many friends run as well, I wanted to capture the feeling of being part of it. The print is 22.5 cm x 30. 5cm, supplied with a black mountboard frame.
London Marathon Print
Swimming in Manor House reservoir near Finsbury Park is slightly surreal- you are in the middle of London but there is a 750m long lake loop which takes you through the newly created nature wetlands, flanked by flats overlooking the city.
Open Water- Manor House Print
An illustrated print of the history of 26.2 miles, from the Greek beginings, the Olympic Years, and onto the mass participation event it is today! Supplied 22.5 x 30.5 cm, with a black mountboard frame.
Marathon History Print
Having run many fell races in the Lakes and Wales (including the Peris Horseshoe and Wasdale Head A Long Fell race) I wanted to create a painting that captured the feeling of running through the hills! This print is supplied 22.5 x 30.5 cm, with a black mountboard frame.
Fellrunner Print
This print shows the CCC race, part of the Ultra Trail Du Mont Blanc Festival of running which takes place in Chamonix in August. Having run the OCC version of the race myself, I was inspired to create a print of this challenging race showing the course area map- with its densely packed contours- and the race profile in silhouette across the base of the image! The runner silhouette is based on a friend who completed the race. The print is supplied 22.5 x 30.5 cm, with a black mountboard frame.
CCC mountain race Print
I have had fantastic experiences racing as a teenager, at university, and more recently coaching juniors athletics! This image is based on a friend who has many track records! The print comes 22.5 x 30.5 cm with a black mountboard frame.
Track Runner Lady Print
This painting was based on running the OCC, a 33 mile event which is part of the Ultra Trail Du Mont Blanc, in Chamonix during August. If you run similar events you'll recognise the precarious looking precipice on one side of the path, plus the rapidly approaching sunset!
OCC race Print
This map was made for a Running Magazine illustration showing where the London Parkruns can be found! It is 22.5 x 30.5cm, supplied with a black mountboard frame.
London Parkruns Print
Highbury Fields Parkrun is a popular event for Saturday mornings- this painting was inspired by both running in it myself, helping out with the junior parkrun, and also just jogging round the park! When I went to draw the area I was lucky enough to see Tina's Ices Van drawing in the crowds...
Highbury Fields Parkrun Print
This print shows the animals of Canada, in a styleinspired by Canadian First Nation artists. I was inspired to do this partly from my PhD in Biodiversity research, and also through receiving a grant from the Society of Wildlife Artists to actually visit Canada! There are also illustrations of Australia, North America, India and Africa in a similar style. It is supplied mounted in a black mountboard window and the print image is 22.5 x 30.5 cm.
